Key Responsibilities
  • Manages the distribution centre inventory department and establishes inventory processes to ensure compliance through: Maintaining accurate cycle counting, receiving, storing, handling, shipping and accurate reporting.
  • Ensures that all planned Inbound receipts are pre-allocated
  • In conjunction with Wave master investigates all inventory-related WMOS waving exceptions (Cycle Counts, locked inventory, locked locations, store pack location exceptions etc.)
  • Support all WMOS / PMM balancing investigations between the TFG Infotec Logistics team, DC operations and business.
  • Continually seeks feedback and improves processes to ensure the customer expectations is exceeded through cycle counts, replenishment strategies and stock rotation
  • Manages and implements robust processes for inventory/stock levels efficiently to ensure a full warehouse optimization and accurate processing of all orders and complete fulfilment of allocations.
  • Creates and administers, analyses and communicates key inventory reports. Dashboard tracking and provides visibility
  • Analyses data and anticipates and manages impact to the operations.
  • Alerts and educate management regarding issues and performs issue resolution as needed
  • Completes all inventory management requirements and ensures compliance of the quarterly/annual audit and preparation.
  • Financial year end stock-taking
  • Provides weekly updates to the business on stock ageing.
  • Collaborates with the DC employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
  • Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
Qualifications And Experience
  • Matric (grade 12) is mandatory
  • A post-matric qualification in Logistics Management/Supply Chain Management/Retail Business Management/Warehouse Operations Management/ Inventory management is advantageous.
  • At least 2 - 4 years of solid management experience (inventory or stock management experience is ideal and advantageous)
  • At least 5 years industry-related experience
  • Experience in working on a Warehouse Management System (experience on Manhattan WMS would be advantageous)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, with a strong MS Excel capability
