Responsibilities

  • Coordinate guest check-ins and outs efficiently.
  • Foster a welcoming and friendly environment for guests.
  • Ensure high guest satisfaction by addressing concerns.
  • Conduct game drives or arrange guides when requested.
  • Ensure high standards are maintained at the lodge.
  • Manage housekeeping duties and staff.
  • Complete and send month-end reports.
  • Manage stock, consumables, and lodge assets.

Job description

Hectorspruit Area – Mpumalanga: This 5-star self-catering lodge is looking for a multiskilled manager who is passionate about the hospitality industry, possess strong leadership skills, and thrive in a dynamic environment to take over the management of the lodge.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Hospitality Management Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid First Aid qualification
  • FGASA Level 1 (NQF 2)
  • DEAT registered
  • Valid PDP
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent operational experience encompassing every aspect of Lodge Management including HR, Admin, FOH & Guest Experience
  • Ability to receive instruction and follow thought as required.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with guests, staff and shareholders.
  • Knowledge and experience of lodge operations.
  • Proficiency in Excel & Word.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Availability to work flexible hours as well as extra hours when required.
  • Lead by example very important.
  • Desire, drive, and experience to develop the lodge to its full potential.
  • Ability to operate independently.
  • Staff management experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

Guest services:

  • Coordinating guest check ins and outs efficiently.
  • Fostering a welcoming and friendly environment ensuring guests are comfortable during their stay.
  • Ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction by tending to guest concerns and complaints.
  • Conducting game drives or arranging freelance guides for game drives when requested by guests.

Lodge:

  • Ensuring a high level of standards are always kept.
  • Arranging relieve staff when needed.
  • Managing of housekeeper and housekeeping duties.
  • Management of gardens, maintenance and general lodge upkeep.
  • Arranging and overseeing lodge maintenance projects when necessary.

Administration:

  • Completing and sending month end reports.
  • Submitting salaries for payment each month.
  • Ordering and management of stock, consumables and lodge assets.
