Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Legal Associate / Consultant (1-2 years' PQE), based in Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities

• Corporate and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and operational contracts supporting clients' day-to-day business activities, including NDAs, supply agreements, service level agreements, etc.
• Legal due diligence and transaction support
• Legal research and preparation of client advice
• General corporate and business advisory work

Qualifications and Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of High Court of South Africa
• 1-2 years' post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law
• Strong drafting, research and negotiation skills
• Commercially minded, detail-oriented and ability to deliver high-quality work
• Excellent analytical skills for contract analysis
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and internal discussions
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proactive and able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
