Norrin Radd (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess 1-2 years of experience in a legal environment and have an LLB qualification. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team and ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes.
Key Requirements
- Educational Qualification: LLB (Bachelor of Laws) degree.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a legal assistant or legal support role.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, correspondence, and reports.
- Conduct legal research.
- Manage and maintain legal files and records, ensuring they are organized and up-to-date.
- Assist with preparation for hearings, meetings, and trials.
- Coordinate and liaise with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
- Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and answering client inquiries.
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and regulatory bodies.
- Assist with billing, timekeeping, and tracking client matters.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
