Vacancy – Part‑Time Lecturer

Emeris – City, Cape Town is hiring a Part‑Time Lecturer for the following module:

Semester 1 Module
  • UX Design Technology 2A
Key Performance Areas

Prepare lectures based on provided content and supplement with expertise. Deliver assigned modules to stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success with workshops where needed. Perform academic admin, capture assessment marks, and report on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage in professional development and attend initial training sessions.

Job Purpose

Lecturing based on provided content, ensuring students are guided and supported in learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
  • Ideal: NQF Level 8 or higher qualification in UX design or digital technology with a portfolio demonstrating proficiency in Figma and front‑end web development, specifically Object‑Oriented Coding principles, HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Alternatively: NQF 8 or higher degree in a cognate field with extensive knowledge, experience, and a portfolio to demonstrate web and mobile front‑end development skills, including Figma, HTML5, CSS3, and Object‑Oriented Coding principles.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years industry or teaching experience plus portfolio in web design using basic web coding languages such as HTML5 and CSS3.
