Our client is seeking a Key Accounts Manager in the electronics industry, based in Johannesburg.
Required Education and Experience :
- B Com or related Diploma
- Accounting skills will be an advantage
- 3 – 5 years related experience
- Good knowledge of administration, sales, and warehouse procedures
- Proven track record in customer relations
- MS Office at an advanced level
- Ability to use databases for recording and reporting
- Channel partner relationship knowledge
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Stock availability / LTI analysis
- Sales revenue analysis
- Pricing analysis
- Accurate forecasting
- AR (Chargeback) management analysis

Duties and Responsibilities :
Sales Plan / Strategy
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with company objectives
- Plan and execute to achieve business goals (PPP)
- PIQ Planning for quarterly reviews
- Coordinate marketing and in-store advertising
- Collaborate with Product Marketing on projects supporting partner-driven marketing events
- Gather and analyze competitor intelligence
- Identify risks and monitor action plan progress
Creative Business Development
- Innovate ways to grow business with customers
- Provide solutions to management challenges
- Build and develop relationships with corporate contacts
- Assist with contractual agreements and ensure adherence
- Identify new business opportunities
- Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and customer strategies
Accurate Forecasting
- Ensure adequate stock levels to avoid LTI
- Align forecasting with sales planning
- Improve forecasting techniques regularly
- Calculate weekly sell-out forecasts based on data analysis and planning
- Adjust weekly sell-in requirements to meet forecasts and WOS levels
Inventory
- Coordinate with inbound and outbound departments on stock requirements
- Provide feedback on stock availability and delays
- Monitor weekly SOH and sell-out results
- Align with promotional calendars for forecasting
Budget Controls
- Ensure ROI and brand sustainability
- Meet income targets as per budget
- Manage risks and solve problems proactively
Pricing
- Negotiate pricing with Product Managers to drive sales
- Monitor market developments and competitors’ pricing
Strong Customer Relationships
- Manage and build customer relationships
- Visit customers regularly
- Partner with customers to grow their business
Reports
- Provide sales reports and analyses
- Prepare presentations and proposals
- Analyze promotional effectiveness
Travel Requirements
- Travel to customers as needed
- 80% of workweek external, 20% office
- Minimum three nights away per month
