A reputable client is seeking a Junior Test Automator (Annuities) to join their technology team on a temporary basis. This opportunity is ideal for someone with foundational testing knowledge who is eager to grow, learn from experienced QA professionals, and build strong automation skills within a dynamic environment.

Key Duties

• Assist in analysing user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria to prepare test scenarios
• Contribute to defining quality standards within sprints
• Maintain test documentation, including test cases and data sets
• Execute manual test cases to validate functionality, integration and data accuracy
• Develop and maintain basic automated regression scripts under guidance
• Support CI and continuous testing efforts through automated suite execution
• Verify test results, raise defects and track resolutions
• Participate in stand‑ups, sprint reviews and refinement sessions
• Collaborate closely with developers, analysts and senior testers
• Provide input on testing improvements and contribute to QA best practice
• Learn and apply modern test automation frameworks
• Support efforts to increase test coverage, reliability and efficiency

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science or related field
• 1–3 years’ experience in automated software testing
• Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Browserstack, Katalon, Playwright, JUnit or TestNG
• Fundamental SQL knowledge
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• ISTQB / ISEB Foundation certification preferred
• Exposure to REST API testing (Postman or SOAP UI) beneficial
• Basic version control knowledge (Git) and familiarity with CI / CD environments (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Experience in financial services or investment environments advantageous
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and willingness to learn
• Good communication, collaboration and time‑management skills
• A proactive, curious and solution‑focused mindset
