A dynamic sourcing firm in Cape Town is seeking a Junior Sourcing Assistant to support day-to-day candidate management and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and proactive, enjoys interacting with candidates, and is ready to work in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity for growth within sourcing, backed by strong training and support during a 3-month probation period, transitioning into a hybrid working arrangement based on performance.
JUNIOR SOURCING ASSISTANT to be based in Bellville, Cape Town
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive JUNIOR SOURCING ASSISTANT to join our team and support our Sourcing Lead with day-to-day candidate management and administrative tasks.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys structure, extensive candidate interaction, and operational support work.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow steadily within sourcing over time - not someone looking to move into HR, full-cycle recruitment, or generalist roles.
We’re not everyone’s cup of tea - and that’s okay.
If you share our excitement and passion for what we do, enjoy being part of a growing, evolving business, and want to work in a close-knit, all-female team built on trust, transparency, and collaboration, you’ll feel at home here.
Our environment is fast-paced and ever-changing. Most days require adaptability, initiative, and the ability to think on your feet - this is not a role for someone who needs rigid structure or predictability.
We value open communication, honest feedback, and creative thinkers who want to add real value to our products, services, and ways of working.
If you thrive in change, enjoy contributing ideas, and want to grow alongside a small but driven team, this could be the right fit for you.
IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES, THEN THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU :
WHO YOU ARE :
Previous recruitment or sourcing exposure is beneficial but not essential. We are open to junior candidates with the right attitude and work ethic.
To thrive in this role, you bring structure, care, and a strong sense of ownership to everything you do.
You plan ahead, manage your time effectively, and keep work structured and on track. You set clear priorities, organise tasks efficiently, and ensure everything needed to do the job is in place and delivered on time.
You genuinely enjoy supporting others and take pride in delivering a positive experience. You see yourself as a service partner to candidates and colleagues, proactively helping remove obstacles and supporting others in achieving their goals.
You listen attentively and with intent. During screening calls and interactions, you ask thoughtful questions, adapt your responses, and ensure information is captured accurately without making assumptions.
You follow processes, honour commitments, and take responsibility for the quality of your work. You are disciplined, reliable, and see tasks through to completion with care and accountability.
You work in an orderly, detail-focused way and take pride in getting things right the first time. You consistently check your work, prevent errors, and ensure information is handled accurately from start to finish.
You are motivated by achieving objectives and delivering outcomes. You stay focused even when challenges arise, work toward clear goals, and take ownership of seeing work completed on time.
You don’t wait to be told what to do. You identify opportunities, take action proactively, and are open to starting new tasks, suggesting improvements, and driving work forward.
You approach problems thoughtfully and systematically. You gather information, identify root causes, and draw logical conclusions that support sound decision-making.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements.
In this role, you will provide essential support to our Sourcing Lead, including :
PLEASE NOTE: This is not an interviewing or HR advisory role. You will not conduct full interviews, complete reference checks, or perform any senior recruitment functions.
This role is office-based during the 3-month probation period to ensure proper training, support, and integration into our sourcing processes.
After successful completion of probation – and subject to performance, reliability, and meeting role expectations – the position can transition into a hybrid working arrangement (a combination of office and remote work).
