About the job Junior Mechanical Engineer

Junior /Graduate Mechanical Engineer

ENVIRONMENT:

A Mechanical Engineer with critical attention to detail who can work in a pressure-driven environment handling multiple priorities is sought by a fast-paced Protective Mobility service in Pretoria. Your role will include Medium and Heavy-duty trucks (4x4, 6x6, and 8x8 vehicles with high mobility and extreme levels of landmine, IED, and ballistic protection chassis harness design using 3D CAD - and 2D Schematic software, preparing bills of materials and their representative 3D assemblies (Unigraphics NX) while evaluating the scope of the work and managing project timelines.

DUTIES:

Qualifications Required

  • Diploma/B-tech /BSC Mechanical Engineering, from a recognized institution.
  • 2 years of working experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry

Skills Required

  • Computer literate in MS Office as well as Solid works, Sigma nest, Acumatica, and CREO.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must have worked previously in the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum 2 years working as a Junior Mechanical Engineer.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Manage time well and multitask with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Own transport.
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
