Key Responsibilities
- Processing day-to-day bookkeeping entries (bank reconciliations, accounts payable / receivable, journals).
- Capturing invoices, receipts, and payments on accounting software (Xero / Sage).
- Assisting with VAT, PAYE, and other SARS submissions.
- Preparing and maintaining supporting schedules for monthly and year-end reporting.
- Filing, document management, and general office administration.
- Assisting senior accountants with client-related tasks, reconciliations, and ad hoc projects.
- Managing correspondence with clients, suppliers, and service providers where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum : Matric with Accounting.
- Advantageous : Bookkeeping / Accounting diploma or similar studies in progress.
- 12 years experience in bookkeeping or admin within an accounting / finance environment preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with Xero, Sage, or Pastel advantageous.
