Job summary

A leading staffing solutions firm in South Africa is seeking a Junior Application Manager to support the day-to-day operations of business systems and third-party applications. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and three years of experience in application development or IT support. Key responsibilities include providing first and second line support, facilitating incidents between customers and vendors, and assisting in vendor meetings. This is a contract position based in Midrand, Gauteng.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience as an application developer or computer programmer.
  • Experience with Application Development and/or IT Support preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the current Servest Business Systems.
  • Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any issues relating to Business Systems.
  • To escalate more complex calls to the relevant Systems Manager.

Contract position

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required

  • Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively with other departments.
  • Experience working with databases, spreadsheets, and reports is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience with Application Development and/or IT Support preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the current Servest Business Systems
  • Support continued day to day operations of current third-party applications
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft applications, including Office with focus on Excel
  • 1st and 2nd Line support of business systems resolve any reported problems.
  • Facilitating incidents (between customer and 3rd party vendors)
  • To take ownership of user problems and be pro-active when dealing with user issues
  • Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any issues relating to Business Systems
  • To escalate more complex calls to the relevant Systems Manager
  • Assist setting up vendor meetings
  • Assist the Head of Applications to build a better understanding of the application portfolio
  • Assist the Head of Applications in understanding of the Servest business model and how applications can assist business
