Junior Accountant job vacancy in Pretoria East.

Salary: R40 000 per month including benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, trends, and key insights.
- Oversee Financial Officers’ work for quality and consistency.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review financial data (sales, expenses, bank statements) and support the CFO.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, Management Accounts, and Annual Financial Statements.
- Ensure SARS compliance for Payroll, VAT, and Income Tax.
- Review payroll and support annual audits.
- Manage cash flow and liaise with service providers as needed.
- Enforce company policies and contribute to process improvements.
- Perform ad hoc finance and operational tasks, reconcile accounts, and track discrepancies.
Requirements:
Education & Professional Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Completed all relevant professional examinations (SAICA or SAIPA).
- Articles completed.
Experience:
- 1–2 years post-articles accounting experience.
- Practical experience with tax returns, financial audits, budgeting, and risk management.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS, and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software, including Pastel, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks; experience with Sage Intacct is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
