What you’ll do

We’re looking for a proactive IT Support Engineer to be the primary point of contact in our Cape Town office and to help support Midnite\'s global users. This is not a role that is hidden behind a ticket queue. You will be hands-on with helping Midnite do what it does best: innovating.

Our IT focuses on helping users get the best possible experience from the technology we have available. You will be tackling a diverse range of issues across our Apple mac and Windows devices as well as helping users safely adopt new AI driven solutions.

What we are looking for
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in IT support or systems engineering
  • Proven experience supporting Apple Mac and Windows devices
  • Strong working knowledge of modern cloud and collaboration stacks such as Google Workspace, Slack and Notion
  • Practical understanding of office networking and WiFi fundamentals
  • Track record of supporting users both face to face and remotely
  • Clear written and verbal English
  • Demonstrable knowledge of security best practice for end user devices, account lifecycle and phishing response
Responsibilities
  • Be the on-site owner for Midnite’s Cape Town office technology while supporting 200 plus global users
  • Provide day to day device and application support, troubleshooting beyond basic fixes to deliver durable solutions
  • Lead setup and maintenance of office infrastructure from WiFi and switches to access control and IoT devices
  • Manage account provisioning and offboarding for core business systems to maintain secure access and auditability
  • Help users adopt new AI-driven tools safely, balancing productivity gains with appropriate controls
  • Own first impressions for new hires by ensuring equipment, accounts and access are ready on day one
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts, support phishing investigations and close down risks quickly
  • Collaborate with the wider IT team to design improvements, escalate complex problems and document reliable runbooks
