A technology consulting firm is looking for an IT / IS Presales Research Executive based in Gauteng. This role emphasizes research-led sales, engaging senior decision-makers, and developing insights to facilitate informed decisions. Candidates should possess a strong research background and over 2 years of experience in presales or new business development. We're looking for an IT / IS Presales Research Executive who can think commercially, research intelligently, and engage senior decision-makers with confidence.
This is not a call‑centre job.
It's a high-performance, research-led sales role built on Miller Heiman / strategic selling where your thinking, discipline and ethics matter more than scripts.
Map and qualify IT / IS decision‑makers in mid‑enterprise and enterprise accounts.
Run buyer‑centric discovery to understand real problems, impact, and decision dynamics.
Build clean, verified datasets and opportunity maps for high‑value sales campaigns.
Translate research into clear, outcome‑based insights for senior executives (CIO, CTO, CEO).
Work inside a structured KPI environment, managing multiple accounts and projects.
Based in Gauteng and able to travel to our offices in Lonehill / Fourways.
2+ years in IT / IS / Computing presales / new business development (inbound or outbound).
Strong research background – you enjoy digging, verifying and connecting dots.
Advanced Office skills (Excel reports, pivot tables, decks, written summaries).
Comfortable speaking with IT executives and challenging them with intelligent questions.
Hungry, coachable, and serious about ethics, integrity and doing things properly.
World‑class sales methodology training (Miller Heiman / strategic selling).
Exposure to fleet, tech, logistics and digital innovation campaigns.
