We’re Hiring: IT & Network Manager

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

About the Role

Rand Education Group is seeking a highly skilled IT & Network Manager to oversee our IT infrastructure across multiple education campuses and associated businesses. This is a dynamic and hands-on role, perfect for a proactive individual who can manage complex networks, ensure seamless business operations, and support both educational and hospitality environments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain all Microsoft licensing (Microsoft 365, Teams, Windows Server).

Build, assemble, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, and printers.

Set up and oversee CAT (Computer Applications Technology) labs for learners.

Manage Ubiquiti/Unifi networks across multiple campuses and businesses.

Provide standby support for Karibu Restaurant and other Rand Education Group businesses for internet and email issues.

Implement and monitor backup solutions, ensuring disaster recovery readiness.

Maintain and update company websites, domains, and email systems.

Provide IT support and training for staff and learners.

Carry out additional IT-related duties as assigned by management.

What We’re Looking For

Diploma or Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science (preferred).

5+ years’ proven IT and network management experience.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Windows Server.

Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti/Unifi network systems.

Skilled in building, assembling, and maintaining computer hardware.

Experience with data backups, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently, under pressure, and be available on standby when needed.
