Qualifications / Experience
  • Degree in Information Systems or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong experience with coding and scripting (Bash PowerShell etc.)
  • Strong experience with Linux distributions (RHEL Ubuntu SLES)
  • Strong experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS Azure)
  • Strong knowledge of version control systems (GitHub)
  • Minimum 5 years IT operations experience
  • Minimum 5 years configuration management and automation experience
  • Focus on Linux HA Solutions and enterprise infrastructure
  • Experience with high‑availability system architectures
Essential Skills Requirements
  • Strong experience with Unix/Linux operating systems (SUSE)
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash Perl Python)
  • Knowledge of High Availability systems including Veritas Infoscale
  • System monitoring tools (Nagios or similar) and backup solutions
  • Oracle and SAP high‑level knowledge and integration
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS DHCP SSH TCP/IP)
  • Enterprise system installation, configuration and maintenance

Role Requirements
  • Install, configure and maintain Unix/Linux servers ensuring optimal performance and uptime
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues and provide timely solutions
  • Apply system updates, patches and security fixes as part of routine maintenance
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation including procedures and troubleshooting guides
  • Support compliance with security standards and company policies
  • Deploy, manage and operate workloads on AWS and Azure with security controls
  • Track and update JIRA user stories ensuring project deadlines are met
  • Ensure system stability and adherence to Group Operations standards
  • Maintain quality and up‑to‑date content of knowledge base for sub‑products
  • Manage Problem‑Incident‑Change processes for dedicated ITSM services
  • Provide standby support and weekend coverage when required
  • Keep documentation current across all relevant systems (CMDB Application Instance Wizard Connect IT resolveIT)
  • Attend and moderate operational meetings with stakeholders
  • Implement automation solutions for routine operational tasks
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on infrastructure projects
  • Additional responsibilities as per AWM Charter or department manager direction
