SUMMARY
The Sales Consultant is responsible for converting qualified leads into sales within a high-volume, target-driven environment. The role involves engaging prospective clients, generating insurance quotes, delivering exceptional customer service, and consistently achieving individual sales targets. The Sales Consultant ensures full compliance with industry regulations while contributing to the overall performance and success of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Conversion
- Conduct outbound and inbound calls to prospective clients based on leads provided by bond origination partners.
- Present and explain insurance products clearly, tailoring solutions to meet individual client needs.
- Generate accurate quotes and follow up effectively to convert enquiries into successful sales.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Address client queries promptly and professionally to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and sales activities on the CRM system.
Sales Performance
- Meet or exceed individual sales targets and KPIs in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager and broader sales team to achieve overall sales objectives.
Compliance
- Ensure all sales activities comply with FSCA regulations, FAIS requirements, and internal compliance standards.
- Stay informed of regulatory and industry changes to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12) – essential.
- RE5 qualification – essential.
- NQF Level 4 or 5 qualification in Insurance, Banking, or Wealth Management – essential.
- CPD compliance – mandatory.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year long-term and short-term insurance sales experience within a call centre environment.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a high-volume, target-driven sales role.
- Experience within the insurance or financial services industry is preferred.
