Responsibilities

  • Identify, mitigate and manage risks related to Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Investigate, analyze and interpret clinical data and act upon findings.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory bodies.
  • Identify training needs in the hospital and provide input in the development of training material.
  • Influence and equip hospital teams to understand and comply to IPC policies and principles.
  • Provide support with patient safety and quality improvement initiatives in the absence of the Patient Safety Manager.
  • Continuous professional development.

Main Purpose of Job

To ensure the implementation and maintenance of a functional Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) programme at the hospital level

Required Education

Essential Education: Nursing qualification (degree or diploma)
