Role Description

This is a full‑time on‑site role for an Industrial Designer located in the City of Johannesburg. The Industrial Designer will be responsible for designing and developing new products, as well as improving existing ones. They will work closely with the product development team and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality products that meet customer needs, as well as participate in the entire design process, from idea generation to concept development and final design.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, or a related field
• Experience in product design and development
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
• An understanding of Mechanical engineering/structures, Construction of building structures, electrical pylons; and Trailer Manufacturing would be most beneficial.
• Artistic ability: Must be able to express their design through illustration or visualization.
• Ability to create and present design concepts that effectively communicate design intent.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and material selection.
• Experience with 3D printing and prototyping is a plus.
• 7‑10 years of experience in Industrial Design or Product Design experience with SolidWorks.
