Job Responsibilities
Brand & Marketing Visual Design
- Responsible for all visual design materials related to the Xiaomi brand in South Africa, including but not limited to:
- New product launch materials (key visuals, posters, digital & offline adaptations)
- Daily social media design assets for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Retail and channel materials (in-store posters, display visuals, price cards, promotional materials)
- Ensure all designs align with Xiaomi / REDMI global brand guidelines while being creatively localized for the South African market.
Social Media & Video Content Support
- Participate in content creation for Xiaomi South Africa’s official TikTok account, including:
- Supporting video shooting (framing, lighting, visual style suggestions)
- Video editing and basic motion/visual effects
- Design of video covers, subtitles, and visual packaging
- Collaborate closely with the marketing and social media teams to continuously improve content quality and visual consistency.
Printing & Production Knowledge
- Possess basic knowledge of printing processes, materials, and file preparation (color modes, bleed, finishing, etc.)
- Prepare final print-ready files and ensure design quality during production.
- Coordinate with local printing or production vendors to support smooth execution.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, media, retail, and social teams to translate business needs into effective visual solutions.
- Manage multiple design tasks efficiently while meeting tight timelines.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant design experience (experience in consumer electronics, FMCG, retail, or social media content is a plus)
Professional Skills
- Proficient in design and editing tools such as:
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut or equivalent video editing software
- Strong visual sense, layout skills, and sensitivity to branding and social media trends
- Familiar with both online and offline design requirements
Language Requirements (Mandatory)
- English (English can be used as a working language)
