Our client is looking for a driven and experienced HR Officer to support their growing team in Markman, Port Elizabeth. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about people, processes, and delivering high-quality HR support. You will play a key role in the full employee lifecycle—ensuring smooth recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, record-keeping, reporting, and supporting key HR initiatives across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment cycle of new employees.
- Facilitate on-boarding process of new employees ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Administration of contracts & relevant documentation for employees.
- Process Terminations and Internal Transfers.
- Act as point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
- Employee electronic file maintenance.
- Maintain accurate Employee staff list.
- Administration of IOD's.
- Order and distribution of employee uniforms.
- Advise managers of required performance review intervals for all employees.
- Keep record of all reviews conducted & outstanding.
- Issue satisfaction survey to employees electronically and maintain record of feedback.
- Compile monthly HR report.
- Ensure that an accurate and updated list of relief pool employees is kept.
- Record keeping of all disciplinary actions implemented.
- Compiling of absenteeism report.
- Taking of Minutes at meetings when required.
- Updating of Organograms.
- Assist HR Manager with projects, programs, event planning, research and resource allocation.
- Back-up for payroll when required.
- Assist payroll with any required documentation and confirmations.
- Arranging external training interventions, tracking of mandatory training, documentation for training interventions.
- Managing electronic communication with Employees through various platforms.
- Facilitate the YES Program and Learnerships.
Requirements
- Grade 12.
- HR qualification will be preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of HR experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR & payroll software.
- Experience working with Clocking Systems (Astrow is preferred).
- Must have experience and understanding of MIBCO.
