Our client is looking for a driven and experienced HR Officer to support their growing team in Markman, Port Elizabeth. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about people, processes, and delivering high-quality HR support. You will play a key role in the full employee lifecycle—ensuring smooth recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, record-keeping, reporting, and supporting key HR initiatives across the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the recruitment cycle of new employees.
  • Facilitate on-boarding process of new employees ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Administration of contracts & relevant documentation for employees.
  • Process Terminations and Internal Transfers.
  • Act as point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
  • Employee electronic file maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate Employee staff list.
  • Administration of IOD's.
  • Order and distribution of employee uniforms.
  • Advise managers of required performance review intervals for all employees.
  • Keep record of all reviews conducted & outstanding.
  • Issue satisfaction survey to employees electronically and maintain record of feedback.
  • Compile monthly HR report.
  • Ensure that an accurate and updated list of relief pool employees is kept.
  • Record keeping of all disciplinary actions implemented.
  • Compiling of absenteeism report.
  • Taking of Minutes at meetings when required.
  • Updating of Organograms.
  • Assist HR Manager with projects, programs, event planning, research and resource allocation.
  • Back-up for payroll when required.
  • Assist payroll with any required documentation and confirmations.
  • Arranging external training interventions, tracking of mandatory training, documentation for training interventions.
  • Managing electronic communication with Employees through various platforms.
  • Facilitate the YES Program and Learnerships.
Requirements
  • Grade 12.
  • HR qualification will be preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of HR experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR & payroll software.
  • Experience working with Clocking Systems (Astrow is preferred).
  • Must have experience and understanding of MIBCO.
