The main purpose of this role will be to deliver integrated, value‑adding People & Culture partnership across the assigned function (s). Provides management and employee support, drives people initiatives, and ensures operational P&C delivery that aligns with business priorities. The individual is a trusted advisor to line management, enabling a high-performance culture, supporting workforce readiness, and embedding Dis-Chem's people strategy and culture framework (Formula for Success).
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade12/Matric
- Bachelor'sDegreeinHumanResourcesorIndustrialPsychology
- 4-6yearsHRgeneralistorHRBPexperience,preferablyinretail,logistics,orhealthcaresettings
- Exposuretotransformation,skillsdevelopment,andequitylegislation(EE,BBBEE,SD)
- StrongworkingknowledgeofSAlabourlegislationandHRcompliancepractices

Business Partnering & Advisory
- ServeasastrategicpartnertoservicefunctionsandmanagersbyadvisingonP&Csolutionsalignedwithhealthcareobjectives.
- Translatebusinessneedsintopeopleplansthatsupportoperationaldelivery,compliance,and workforceoptimisation.
- Provideday-to-daysupportonperformance,conduct,talentmovement,andgeneralP&Cadvisor.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- EnsureconsistentapplicationofDis-Chem’spoliciesandlabourlegislation(BCEA,LRA,POPIA).
- Managedisciplinary,grievance,andcounsellingmattersincollaborationwiththecentralERfunction.
- Supportandcoachlinemanagersinmanagingfairandconstructiveemployeerelations.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- PartnerwithTalentAcquisitiontoforecast,plan,andfulfilstaffingneedsforvariousworkingstructures andschedules.
- Supporthiringdecisionsalignedtobusinessneeds,skillspipelines,andemployentequitygoals.
- Ensureseamlessonboardingandculturalintegrationofnewhires.
Performance & Capability Management
