Overview
The HRIS & Analytics Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the HRIS software for our organization. As part of the HR team, the manager oversees employee data related to recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits, and performance management. The role ensures that the HRIS system functions properly, enables employees to update their personal information online, and analyzes HR data to identify trends and develop strategies for improving HR processes. This position combines the responsibilities of an HR manager and an IT specialist, effectively managing HR data and ensuring smooth departmental operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting.
- Select, configure, and implement analytics solutions.
- Lead and develop a team of data analysts.
- Perform application upgrades, provide training, and offer technical support.
- Develop and implement new HR processes and systems for increased efficiency.
- Optimize HRIS processes, integrate new software, and conduct diagnostic tests.
- Perform statistical analysis on HRIS data and run queries.
- Ensure accurate recording and secure storage of HR metrics, including attendance and performance data.
- Conduct audits on HR processes and documents, such as hiring, termination, and payroll administration.
- Monitor technological advancements and trends in the HRIS field.
- Update employee records, manage workflows, and ensure accurate data capture within the system.
- Analyze salary data, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Generate insightful reports for management and stakeholders on workforce demographics, performance evaluations, compensation trends, and turnover rates.
- Regularly audit data entries to uphold database integrity and prioritize data security through access controls and encryption.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including IT, HR business partners, and stakeholders—to identify system enhancements and integrate new features.
- Participate in project planning, testing, and implementation of system upgrades or integrations.
- Build systems to transform raw data into actionable business insights.
- Oversee analytics operations to correct discrepancies and ensure quality of analysis.
- Extract reports from multiple sources such as operations, IT, and customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, human resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an HRIS & Analytics Manager position.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Practical experience with HR database administration, including payroll systems.
- Solid experience in data analysis and reporting; industry experience is a plus.
- Background in market research and project management.
- Knowledge of Excel, R, and SQL; familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, SAS).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Problem‑solving aptitude.
- Proven work experience as an HRIS & Analytics Manager or similar role.
- Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train staff.
- Extensive experience analyzing HRIS and HR performance metrics.
- Advanced proficiency in database management and security, including running SQL queries.
- Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in HRIS analysis.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
