Overview
The Hospital Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing a world-class Hospital (Acute/Non-Acute & Wellness). This role is accountable for the implementation, management, and monitoring of Hospital Operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency. The incumbent will lead a team of specialists, with responsibilities spanning across hospital operations and interfacing with Head Office functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic direction-setting and planning for the Hospital in alignment with the organisation’s vision and mission.
- Develop operational standards for the non-acute Hospital based on global and local best practices to achieve excellence.
- Set goals and standards for the Hospital to support business objectives.
- Optimise utilisation of skills and equipment to maximise effectiveness and productivity.
- Support and guide functional workstreams (e.g., Nursing, Patient Experience) to drive operational success.
- Drive continuous improvement, manage operational risks, and ensure quality patient care through qualified professionals.
- Oversee communications, service providers, budgets, projects, resourcing, and change management related to hospital operations.
- Implement operational initiatives that enhance patient experience, outcomes, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Health and Safety legislation.
- Promote collaboration and synergy between medical professionals and workstream leads to deliver integrated healthcare services.
- Strategically align hospital operations within the broader organisational value chain for optimal integration.
- Support Group initiatives to strengthen funder relations and progress towards designated service provider status.
- Collaborate with executives in the recruitment of clinicians and allied health professionals across disciplines.
- Enable and support contractors in delivering services.
- Lead the Hospital’s Marketing and Patient Experience strategy.
- Co-create functional strategies and manage portfolio disciplines.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) will be an added advantage.
- 5–7 years of experience in Hospital or Hospitality Management.
- Minimum of 3 years in a people management role.
