You'll join a small, agile, mission-driven team who move fast and think boldly.

About the Role

As the Head of Finance at ventoré, you'll lead all international finance activities including forecasting, budgeting, consolidation and modelling.

You'll work closely with our Indonesian CFO and team leads to create financial clarity, ensure appropriate capital allocation, improve financial controls and build the finance foundation needed to scale globally.

This role is both strategic and hands‑on, especially in the early stages of ventoré's hyper‑growth phase.

Core Responsibilities

• Own all international financial reporting, including P&L, cash flow and balance sheet across non‑Indonesian entities.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting and financial planning.
• Build financial models for new developments, acquisitions, feasibility studies and investor scenarios.
• Maintain strong cost‑control and budget discipline across teams.
• Partner with Investment and Design & Construction teams to evaluate project returns, risks and capital allocation decisions.
• Support tax, regulatory and audit requirements across jurisdictions (with external advisors where needed).
• Work closely with the Indonesian CFO to ensure aligned processes, accurate consolidation and shared standards.
• Over time, build and coach a small international finance team.
• Provide clear, concise financial insights and recommendations to the C‑Suite.

Experience

8+ years professional experience in finance, ideally across:

• High-growth companies or scale‑ups
• Real estate, hospitality, development or capex-heavy industries
• Multi-entity, multi-currency environments
• Deep experience in financial modelling, forecasting and strategic planning.

Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills - able to challenge and influence C‑Suite and global partners.

Comfortable working with remote, async teams.

Willingness to travel internationally and work across time‑zones.

Work Eligibility & Location

This role is based in South Africa, with a preference for Cape Town.

International in‑person collaboration across Indonesia, Europe and the Middle East will be required.

The appointment will initially be made on an independent contractor basis with a planned transition to an indefinite employment contract.
