Purpose of the Job
To plan, coordinate, implement, monitor, and report on all training and skills development initiatives across the Group, ensuring alignment with business strategy, operational requirements, statutory compliance (SETA, QCTO, B-BBEE), and workforce capability development.
The role ensures that employees are competent, compliant, productive, and future-ready, while maximising grant recovery and return on training investment.
Reporting to: The Supervisor with Dotted Line: CEO/COO, and Factory Managers

The role supports training across the following operational areas:
- Tile manufacturing (clay preparation, forming, pressing, drying, glazing, firing, selection, packaging and warehouse)
- Bath and sanitaryware manufacturing
- Quality control and laboratory operations
- Maintenance (mechanical, electrical, automation)
- Warehousing and logistics
- Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ)
- Supervisory and leadership development
- Apprenticeships, learnerships, internships, bursaries, and skills programmes
- Administrative, technical, and professional staff training
- Accreditation of qualification, industry school, and workplace learning
Educational Requirements
- Completed N.Dip/Degree in: Human Resource /Training & Development
- Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) Certificate (registered)
- Strong knowledge of: Skills Development Act, B-BBEE Codes (Skills Development element), QCTO occupational qualifications, Accreditation requirements
- ETDP SETA Accreditation (An advantage)
- Project Management Certification
- Manufacturing-related technical exposure
Additional Requirements
- 5-7 years’ experience in Training, Skills Development, or HR Development
- At least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proven experience with: SETA Grant management, Training coordination across multiple sites, SAP or similar ERP systems and Training management systems (LMS)
- Experience working with CETA, QCTO, and accreditation providers
