Job summary

A leading JSE-listed company is seeking a Group Reporting and Finance Manager to manage financial documentation and oversee audits in line with JSE requirements. This role includes producing quarterly reports, managing the tax return process, and assisting the CFO with strategic planning. The ideal candidate will hold a CA(SA) and have 2-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in tax and ERP systems. This is a full-time position based in Cape Town.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years post-article experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to manage subordinates and relate to management and staff at all levels.
  • Experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the listed entity's financial documentation and affairs.
  • Oversee the production of monthly management accounts.
  • Assist the CFO with capital and funding structures.

A leading JSE-listed company is looking for a Group Reporting and Finance Manager to join the team. If you are experienced and looking to fill this newly created position reach out to us today!

Manage the listed entitys financial documentation and financial affairs including audits in line with all JSE Listing Requirements and the Companies Act

Manage the production of quarterly Board packs for the Group and all internal reporting to our major shareholder

Oversee the production of monthly management accounts for trading entities outside of the GABS group

Manage the Group Employment Option scheme and the valuation thereof

Preparation of the annual taxation calculation and return and submission of provisional tax payments under the signature of Public Officer

Devising and implementation of suitable internal controls to ensure adequate internal control is maintained

Assist the CFO in devising capital & funding structures throughout the group including evaluating acquisition proposals in order to maximise shareholder value

Ad hoc exercises for the CEO and Financial Director as required

Skills & Experience :
  • Tax & VAT experience
  • Two to five years post-article experience in a similar position advantageous with ability to manage subordinates and relate to management and staff at all levels.
  • Experience using SAP or other ERP Systems
  • MS Office & advanced Excel
  • Strategic pro-active thinking
  • Ability to effectively multitask
