Job description

Purpose of the job: Responsible for all finance functions and tasks for all entities. Ensures statutory and tax compliance; creates and implements policies and procedures. Supports the senior management team by offering insights and financial advice, in strategic planning and analysis that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.

Key relationships:

  • External: Debtors & Creditors, Banks, Investors and Funders, External Auditors
  • Internal: Finance Team, Operations Team and HOD EXCO, Internal Auditors

Critical experience: At least 5 -10 years' experience in a senior finance role. Strong budgeting and forecasting experience. Excellent Microsoft skills. SAGE experience preferred. Audit knowledge. Proven track record of mentoring, managing and training employees. Excellent reporting writing skills. Excellent track record in managing teams across the Globe. Strong analytical skills. Excellent IFRS knowledge and experience

Minimum Education: Registered Chartered Accountant

Technical competencies/ Professional expertise: Use Financial and Quantitative Data: Establishes realistic budgets; uses financial and quantitative information effectively to manage. Use Technical / Functional Expertise: Possesses up-to-date knowledge in the profession and industry; is regarded as an expert in the technical/functional area; accesses and uses other expert resources when appropriate. Know the Business: Shows understanding of issues relevant to the broad organization and business; keeps that knowledge up-to-date; has and uses cross functional knowledge.
