You'll lead energy management and carbon reduction initiatives across large manufacturing operations, shaping 5-year energy and carbon roadmaps and reporting directly into executive and board structures.
Strategic influence across multi-site manufacturing operations
Direct exposure to executives and the board
Ownership of energy and carbon strategy — not just execution
Hands‑on involvement in wheeling, Solar PV, renewables and emerging technologies
Future-focused mandate in a fast-changing South African energy landscape
You will drive energy efficiency, optimise energy procurement, oversee metering and data integrity, and lead renewable and alternative energy projects.
A key focus will be meeting five‑year energy and carbon reduction targets, managing carbon budgets, carbon tax calculations, and statutory reporting.
You'll collaborate closely with operations, influence without authority, mentor an engineer‑in‑training, and represent the business in industry forums.
Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical)
Certified Energy Manager
Proven energy management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Strong exposure to electricity procurement, wheeling and contract negotiation
Solar PV project experience from feasibility to optimisation
Solid understanding of SA's energy landscape and supply challenges
Experience with energy data systems, online metering and GHG reporting (Scope 1, 2, 3)
Ability to manage multi‑site initiatives and drive behavioural change
