Role : Group Chief Financial Officer (Group CFO) – Mining & Metals Portfolio
Location : Dubai, UAE (with travel across Africa)
Salary : Up to AED 60, (Negotiable)
Experience : Minimum 15+ Years (within mining, resources, or capital-intensive sectors in Africa or emerging markets)
Qualification : CA / CFA required
The Group CFO will lead the financial strategy, governance, and performance of a diversified mining and metals portfolio.
This role oversees corporate finance, planning & analysis, treasury, capital allocation, risk management, commercial negotiations, and stakeholder reporting.
As a key advisor to the CEO and Board, the Group CFO ensures disciplined growth, profitability, and long-term value creation.
Lead long-term financial strategy aligned with growth and investment objectives.
Develop financial models for capital deployment, M&A, and project evaluation.
Drive portfolio profitability and capital efficiency.
Manage financing structures (debt, equity, DFIs, offtake-linked).
Lead treasury, liquidity, FX management, and cash flow.
Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial partners.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Support operations in cost optimization and margin improvement.
Implement financial controls, systems, and governance across regions.
Lead negotiations for offtake, suppliers, and major contractors.
Ensure financial discipline in procurement and commercial agreements.
Mitigate contract and commercial risks.
Ensure robust audit practices, IFRS compliance, and tax governance.
Monitor financial, operational, political, and regulatory risks.
Provide transparent reporting to investors, board members, and regulators.
Represent the organization in investor meetings and financing discussions.
Support ESG-linked financing initiatives where relevant.
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
Strengthen financial capability at site and corporate levels.
Promote accountability, ethical culture, and strong business partnering.
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
Expertise in project finance, financial modelling, IFRS, governance, M&A, and risk frameworks.
