Job description

Over the last decade, Webrepublic has grown from an ambitious startup into Switzerland’s leading digital marketing agency. Within Webrepublic we have launched PACE, a brand dedicated to the world of Sports & Entertainment. PACE is working with some of the largest brands in Sports and entertainment and we have recently been selected to support one of the largest football events in the world.

For that business, we are looking for a full‑time, multi‑faced Graphic Designer with native Arabic skills, based in Cape Town, to help us deliver creative campaigns for global sporting brands and federations. We are looking for a creative all‑rounder who is well‑versed in various design disciplines across B2B and B2C mediums and wants to combine that with a deep passion for sports, particularly soccer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Telling stories by creating engaging graphical content primarily for Arabic audiences, such as illustrations, infographics, presentations, videos and animations and multimedia design.
  • Managing graphic design projects (largely digital) from conception to delivery.
  • Utilising your skillset across multiple design disciplines within those projects, including but not limited to video and image editing, animation/motion design, post‑production and illustration.
  • Delivering those projects across various output formats and surfaces, from product and promotional assets to social media posts (and everything in between), to defined deadlines.
  • Closely collaborating with our Production Manager, assisting with the liaising with clients and business partners across various countries in the Middle East, taking the lead on all language‑specific tasks.
  • Being part of a team of designers focused on ensuring quality and brand consistency standards are always met.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Native‑level speaker in both Arabic and English (other European languages are a plus).
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience, with a notable element within the sports industry (ideally soccer).
  • Native proficiency of the various design‑relevant tools within the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • An eye‑catching portfolio with design projects that showcase the variety of your skills and experience.
  • Proven track record of social media campaigns within that industry, ideally with a sports audience in mind.
  • Proven storyteller, able to combine engaging narratives with striking visual assets.
  • Can work autonomously, execute ideas quickly and plan time around deadlines.
  • Team‑player and always open to feedback from colleagues.
  • In best case, an understanding of responsive grids and the implementation of your designs (e.g. through HTML and CSS).
What We Offer

On our side, we offer a dynamic work environment fostering personal growth and development, opportunities to work on a global‑scale project with world‑leading brands & federations, learning from Subject Matter Experts across all digital marketing disciplines, flat hierarchies and short decision paths, being part of a young, dynamic, and international team, exposure to disciplines beyond your own skill set, a vibrant office space in Cape Town and a flexible work environment (hybrid work), and a very competitive compensation package.
