Position: Club Manager
To coordinate and manage the efficient day-to-day management and operations of the Golf Club.
To ensure that the Golf Course is safe, secure and maintained for the benefit of the members, visitors and estate residents.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, security and maintenance of the Golf Course.
- Maintain the financial health of the Golf Club.
- Advertise and promote the Golf Club and clubhouse.
- Adhere to laws, statutory regulations, the Golf Club rules and estate rules.
- Manage member and visitor liaison, complaints and communications.
- Review bookings and submit a weekly bookings report to the Golf Committee.
- Ensure members and visitors encounter excellent hospitality at all times when receiving service at the Pro shop.
- Ensure members and visitors encounter excellent hospitality at all times when receiving service at the Golf cart rental.
- Administer the green fees system.
- Govern the handicap system.
- Operate the Pro Shop retail operation, including product purchasing, inventory management, markdowns and promotions.
- Operate the Pro Shop inventory counts and cash counts.
- Supervise the maintenance of golf carts and golf operations personnel.
- Schedule and chair regular staff meetings focused on customers, operations, revenue growth and cost containment.
- Address member and visitor complaints, resolve problems immediately, and document complaints and solutions in a complaints register.
- Review complaints with employees, the greenskeeper and Clubhouse service provider to develop appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Greenskeeper and Clubhouse service provider to ensure an effective, fluid operation, through weekly and monthly meetings, documenting plans and actions in an action log.
- Coordinate plans with the Clubhouse service provider for all food and beverage needs, on-course food and beverage needs, banquets, outside events and catering for all golf functions.
