Ideal Candidate Profile
We’re seeking “CEO material” — proven leaders who have excelled in corporate financial services and are ready to own and build their own franchise with world‑class infrastructure support.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualifications & Compliance: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
- RE5 & RE1 qualifications (mandatory).
- CFP designation highly advantageous.
- FAIS‑compliant and in good standing with regulatory bodies.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 10+ years in financial services; 5+ years in senior sales leadership.
- Proven track record leading 75+ active, productive financial advisers.
- Previous roles: Provincial Head of Sales, Channel Head, Regional Sales Lead, or similar.
- Demonstrated success building scalable leadership structures (team leaders, sales managers, regional managers).
- Teams have consistently won awards and exceeded targets.
- Market Development & Business Acumen: Proven ability to open new markets and distribution channels.
- Success establishing worksite access programmes (government & private sector).
Technical & Strategic Skills
- Experience creating sustainable lead generation systems.
- Understanding of financial advice practice economics and what drives profitability at scale.
- Strategic mindset with ability to develop comprehensive business cases and financial models.
- Strong knowledge of financial products.
- Deep understanding of holistic advice process and client‑centric planning.
- Experience with fintech platforms, CRM systems, and performance dashboards.
- Forward‑thinking approach to leveraging technology.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Business Ownership: Set strategic direction and vision as franchise owner; scale operations from launch to + advisers across multiple branches; build partnerships for worksite access and market penetration; make all strategic decisions on positioning, expansion, and operations.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit and build a high‑performing adviser team; develop team leaders into sales managers and regional managers; create a high‑performance culture focused on excellence and results; implement coaching, performance management, and accountability systems.
- Sales & Performance Management: Set and monitor targets for client acquisition, revenue, and satisfaction; drive continuous improvement in productivity, persistency rates, and quality; leverage technology platform for worksite tracking, lead management, and analytics; ensure team meets or exceeds business case projections.
- Business Operations & Compliance: Manage franchise profitability, cash flow, and financial health; ensure full compliance with FAIS Act, regulations, and ethical standards; oversee day‑to‑day operations and implement scalable systems; build strong relationships with Lifecheq, Sanlam, and product providers.
- Client Experience & Innovation: Embed a holistic advice model across all interactions; champion technology and innovation to improve service delivery; contribute to business development initiatives and partnerships.
