Job summary

A transport company in Durban is seeking a Fleet Controller to oversee fleet management and ensure the efficiency of operations. Responsibilities include task delegation to drivers, tracking of deliveries, and coordination of vehicle maintenance. Candidates should have at least 3 years' experience in fleet management and be proficient in Excel. Own transport is essential. This role may require long hours, including weekends.

FLEET CONTROLLER

Job Summary

• Oversee all aspects of fleet management (productivity, wages, fuel consumption, route planning, etc)
• Assign and ensure execution of tasks to drivers
• Track orders and deliveries
• Constant monitoring of driver and vehicle performance and efficiency & find ways to improve productivity
• Co-ordinate vehicle maintenance to ensure the fleet are maintained, including scheduling of services and COF inspections for vehicles to remain in a safe and roadworthy condition
• Monthly inspections and arrangements for services and repairs
  
  

Requirement

• Matric
• Computer literate
• Excel (compulsory)
• At least 3 years' experience in fleet management (controller)
• Own Transport
• Sober habits
• Willing to work long hours, public holidays, and weekends
