Financial Systems Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Systems Administrator to join our client's IT Operations team in Highveld, Centurion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the firm's Aderant financial management system, ensuring its reliability, accuracy, and alignment with business requirements. This role requires strong technical, analytical, and financial system knowledge, as well as the ability to provide end-user support and oversee system integrations and upgrades.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the firm's Aderant financial management system, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Act as the main liaison with the Aderant service provider, ensuring all services meet the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and escalate where necessary.
  • Develop, document, and update standard operating procedures and training materials in collaboration with the Training Department.
  • Monitor and manage system integrations with platforms such as Inprotech, Power BI, and Sage, working closely with the IT team.
  • Perform daily system checks and ensure scheduled jobs and interfaces run successfully.
  • Maintain user access and security within Aderant.
  • Design, modify, and maintain financial reports and data extracts to meet operational needs.
  • Evaluate and implement system upgrades, enhancements, and new features in consultation with Operations and IT Management.
  • Lead or contribute to projects related to reporting improvements, data cubes, and BI dashboards.
  • Ensure data integrity, internal controls, and audit trails within the system are maintained.
  • Prepare monthly reports on support issues, system performance, and improvements.
  • Support additional IT systems (e.g., iManage document management system) when capacity allows.
  • Continuously upskill and stay updated on new system functionalities and technologies.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience supporting and customising financial or practice management systems.
  • Experience with Aderant preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, accounting principles, and financial data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with SQL, Power BI, and report‑writing tools.
  • Solid project management, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work with both technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work after hours as and when required.
