We’re currently looking for a Financial Analyst, a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, enjoys partnering closely with the business, and knows how to turn complex financial data into clear, decision-ready insight that actually moves the needle.

At Stratlab, we focus on culture fit, long-term impact, and building relationships that last – because great work happens when people belong.

Think this is you? Let’s make it happen.

POSITION INFO

Financial Analyst | Pharmaceutical Industry | Midrand

This is not a box-ticking finance role.

We’re working with a fast-growing multinational in the pharmaceutical space where finance is expected to think, challenge, partner and deliver. Short decision lines, a hands-on culture, and an environment where initiative is welcomed (and noticed).

If you enjoy turning complex numbers into commercial insight and want your work to influence real business decisions, this one will speak to you.

The role

You’ll operate as a trusted FP&A partner to the business, advising on performance, driving planning cycles, and supporting strategic decision-making across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full ownership and deep analysis of brand P&Ls, including revenue, COGS, inventory write-offs, and marketing and selling expenses
  • Accurate and timely month-end reporting and variance analysis against budget and forecast
  • Driving the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes end-to-end
  • Accruals, provisions, transfer pricing and intercompany margin calculations
  • Inventory provision analysis and risk communication with commercial teams
  • Strong business partnering with Commercial and Operational Finance teams
  • Audit support, HQ reporting, ad-hoc analysis, and senior-level presentations
  • Maintenance and improvement of budgeting, reporting tools, and financial models

This is a role for someone who likes being close to the action and isn’t allergic to accountability.

What We’re Looking For
  • CA(SA) or CIMA (completed)
  • Minimum 5 years post-articles experience in a multinational environment (pharma or FMCG preferred)
  • Solid inventory management experience
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling capability
  • Commercially minded, analytically strong, and detail-oriented
  • Confident communicator who can partner, challenge, and influence
  • Deadline-driven, organized, and able to manage competing priorities

You’ll fit right in if you see beyond the numbers, ask the right questions, and enjoy working with smart people who expect finance to add value.

Location: Midrand

Industry: Pharmaceutical (multinational)
