As a Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly close processes, managing cash flow reporting, and ensuring compliance with regional statutory requirements, including audits and local filings. You will work as part of the Global Finance Team and collaborate closely with Operations and regional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Support the monthly close process for global entities, including preparation of journals, schedules, and analytical reviews
  • Self-review monthly accounts and proactively identify and adjust discrepancies
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and liaise with local accountants to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare VAT returns and manage corporate member schemes
  • Conduct intercompany reconciliations and oversee subsidiary funding
  • Manage monthly bank reconciliations, including foreign currency revaluations
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate monthly depreciation
  • Manage prepayments and accruals
  • Reconcile credit cards and support accounts payable activities
External Audits & Statutory Filings
  • Take ownership of local statutory filing requirements and audit coordination
  • Ensure all audits and regulatory submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines
  • Liaise with internal finance stakeholders to enable timely audit completion and filings
Cash Flow Management
  • Maintain and continuously improve regional cash flow reporting tools
  • Prepare and manage regional cash flow forecasts
  • Analyse cash flow variances against budget and elevate material variances to the Group Financial Controller
  • Deliver regular cash flow reports and ensure adherence to banking controls
  • Own and manage regional payables processes, ensuring timely payment of suppliers and staff
Payroll & Compliance
  • Process payroll for assigned entities, including payments, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Submit payroll-related documentation to relevant authorities
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation
  • Collaborate with local management and the Global Finance Team
Other Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Accounting and Group Financial Controller with ad‑hoc projects
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement within regional accounting processes

Education & Experience
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a Financial Accountant role, preferably in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Experience with payroll processes and financial systems is an advantage
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with financial reporting tools
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing end‑to‑end accounting processes
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and controls
  • Ability to improve accuracy, efficiency, and automation in finance processes
  • Experience working with global and cross‑functional teams
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, including month‑end close
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power Query knowledge preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data to non‑finance stakeholders
