Finance Analyst required for a reputable automotive company based in Sandton.
Brief Role Description
As part of the NSO Controlling team, the Financial Analyst is responsible for effective planning, coordination, analysis, and interpretation of strategic and financial inputs received from the Brands within the National Sales Organisation (NSO). The role supports the achievement of local and international reporting deadlines and NSO Finance Controlling objectives.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Perform financial feasibility studies for all potential locally manufactured vehicles and FBU imports.
- Ensure new products are accurately priced and support the approval of pricing following international and local processes.
- Monitor the accuracy and interpret vehicle price indices adjusted for equipment.
- Prepare product cost information for incorporation into corporate budgets and medium-term planning.
- Keep records of the Business Model, ensuring Headquarters (HQ) system is updated accurately and timely.
- Evaluate cost accuracy on an ongoing basis (forecast vs actual) and implement corrective actions.
- Establish and implement vehicle and option pricing, assessing their impact on turnover and profitability.
- Evaluate and implement special package/option pricing (ad hoc).
- Evaluate and implement ad hoc rental and government pricing requests.
- Evaluate, report, and reconcile dealer, rental, and government incentives.
- Monitor inflationary price movements.
- Prepare tenders (RT57) and quarterly RT57 pricing.
- Prepare rental company proposals and submit pricing for RT57, rental, ad hoc, and incentive programs.
- Prepare templates for quarterly pricing meetings and rental & state tender pricing meetings.
- Manage the incentive budget and actuals related to dealer performance and tactical programs.
- Manage provisions for vehicle-related incentives, overheads, and fixed costs.
Qualification Requirements
- A formal 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Financial Management, Accounting, or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
- A post-graduate qualification or Honours degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management is advantageous.
Experience Needed
Minimum of 3-5 years of financial experience in the motor or related industry.
