The Enrolled Nurse provides experienced and efficient clinical services under the supervision of a Professional Nurse while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. The role involves patient care, research support, and clinical procedure management.

Primary Work Objectives and Functions

• Assist in providing comprehensive, safe, and effective evidence-based clinical procedures.
• Perform all assigned clinical duties in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Frequent monitoring and reporting on patient progress and study implementation.
• Ensure all patient rights are upheld, with cultural sensitivity maintained.

• An Enrolled Nurse can achieve their duties through the following actions:
• Proficiency in clinical procedures, patient care, and research protocols.
• Adherence to South African Nursing Council and Health Professions Council regulations.
• Organising daily clinical and research study activities.
• Proactive engagement in counselling and support initiatives.
• Planning and Executing patient assessments and treatments.
• Identifying opportunities to improve clinical processes.
• Auditing adherence to clinical and research protocols.

Experience
