Responsibilities
  • Investigate, lead and resolve ethics complaints.
  • Investigate, lead, and resolve grievances.
  • Facilitate disciplinary hearings.
  • Prepare recommendations for disciplinary hearings within 3-5 working days.
  • Assist with the administration relating to disciplinary hearings such as the maintenance of statistics and hearing related data (e.g. outcome, sanction, postponements, trends) for reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Undertake post disciplinary hearings reviews and ensure that learnings are shared with other chairpersons.
  • Load and track disciplinary hearings on tracker.
  • Compile monthly reports and identify trends.
  • Attend CCMA matters as and when required.
You Will Be An Ideal Candidate If You
  • Minimum qualification: Relevant degree in Human Resource, Industrial Relations, LLB or postgrad in Labour Law.
  • Experience required: Minimum of 5 years practical experience in Employee and Industrial Relations or in Chairing Disciplinary and Incapacity Hearings.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving.
  • The role requires local travel between campuses, as well as national and international travel.
  • Must have reliable transport.
