Job title: Digital Marketing Specialist
Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg

Main Responsibilities
- Design and implement digital media campaigns aligned with Brand goals and broader marketing strategy, with a primary focus on quality lead generation, in conjunction with agencies and central support office roles where applicable
- Create digital content on available digital platforms (e.g., websites, blogs, Google Business, social media)
- Understand the analytics behind campaigns and optimise based on learnings; use dashboards to benchmark and analyse results
- Serve as the primary custodian of the brand websites and supporting content; work with the central web developer to optimise the site
- Establish and maintain the brand web presence to boost awareness and generate leads
- Maintain a strong online company voice through social media and manage social platforms
- Generate monthly reports related to activities and lead generation
- Liaise with Brand Marketing and sales managers to ensure alignment with the broader marketing plan
- Liaise with campus social media representatives and principals regarding digital marketing elements needed, in line with brand strategy
- Monitor ROI and KPIs
- Stay up to date with digital media developments and competitor activity; adjust plans proactively as market trends change
- Have a basic understanding of SEO practices
Formulation and Management of Digital Marketing Campaign
- Design and implement campaigns with a focus on lead generation
- Align campaigns to brand objectives and branding strategy
- Consult with agencies and support offices as required
- Ensure all campaign activities are tracked and benchmarked
- Track campaign ROI
- Implement and monitor correct campaign budget allocations
Analytical Analysis and Reporting on Activities across all Platforms
- Monitor, benchmark, and report on all areas and platforms in the digital marketing environment; identify wins and areas for improvement
Content Generation
- Develop and implement digital content on available platforms (websites, blogs, Google Business, social media)
- Ensure content is up to date and relevant
Website Ownership
- Serve as the primary custodian of relevant brand websites in terms of content, design, function, SEO, etc.
- Communicate effectively with the support office web designer when briefing updates and changes
- When required, liaise with relevant agencies regarding website functionality and operations
Social Media Management
- Establish and maintain a strong brand voice on relevant social platforms; manage day-to-day engagement with the public through campus support teams
Innovation and Trend Listening
- Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends and innovate accordingly
Education (Formal Qualification required)
- Degree / Diploma in Digital Marketing
- Relevant certifications in Google products (AdWords, Analytics, Remarketing, etc.)
- Facebook Blueprint Certified
- Experience in Media / Advertising / Branding roles
