Minimum Requirements
  • A recognized bachelor’s degree, OR an NQF level 7 qualification in Purchasing Management / Public management / Business Administration / Logistics Management / Supply Chain Management.
  • At least 3-5 years’ work experience in the similar role within Supply Chain Management specializing in Procurement at the University environment.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of procurement-related legislation including.
  • Public Finance Management Act.
  • Framework for Supply Chain Management.
  • Code of Conduct for Supply Chain Management Practitioners; Treasury Regulations. Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act.
  • Understanding and interpretation of applicable systems and Central Supplier Database(CSD).
  • Recommendations :
  • Certified Level 4 on CIPS or any similar e.g., CPSM, CSCP
Competencies
  • Understanding of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  • Ability to work on Microsoft suite such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Good report writing acumen, and ability to prepare presentations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
