Our client is a leading Value-Added Distributor, specializing in providing information security solutions and services via their channel partners to enterprises of all sizes across sub-Saharan Africa.
They provide cybersecurity solutions and services that span the entire enterprise information infrastructure lifecycle, including the perimeter, network, endpoints, application, cloud, IoT and data security.
They are looking to hire a Data Security Solutions Architect to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria.
This role is pivotal in engaging with prospective and current clients, delivering compelling presentations and demonstrations, and providing expert insights on our products and services.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with the Sales team as the technical subject matter expert for the company's Data Security domain during customer calls and presentations.
- Use market and technical knowledge to consult on best practices, and offer constructive direction for solution architecture and design.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products, and services.
- Drive customer success with real-world knowledge and recommendations.
- Work with the post-sales teams to ensure every customer realizes the value of the company's data security solutions and continues to contribute to the success of the company's customers.
- Work with the team to capture and articulate customer and prospect product enhancement feedback.
- Ability to document security governance processes and work instructions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a known or affiliated University.
- Ability to describe complex technical concepts to diverse audiences: executives, business stakeholders, and technology practitioners.
- Passion for demonstrating solutions and ability to provide technical input during the sales process.
- Broad understanding of enterprise data architecture, privacy, and security technologies.
- Ability to plan, execute and close out a Proof of Concept with minimal assistance and oversight.
- Desire to share knowledge through excellent documentation creation and RFI / RFP responses.
- Some prior experience with one or more of the following: RDBMS systems, no-SQL data stores (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB), Hadoop technologies (HDFS, Hive, HBase), cloud technologies (AWS EMR, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, Azure file and blob storage, etc.).
- Prior experience with Identity and Access Management or Data Loss Prevention tools.
- Experience and deeper understanding of Hardware Security Modules, Key Management systems and Data Protection Management.
- Data masking knowledge of Dynamic and Static.
- Experience with Linux or container frameworks (such as Docker) is a strong plus.
- Design and implementation of Imperva DAM DBF & WAF.
- Understanding and experience with the cryptography fundamentals, Digital Certificates and PKI standards.
- Knowledge of common OWASP Top Ten Web Application and API vulnerabilities, and the ability to explain them to non-technical or non-security-oriented team members.
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintaining web and database security rules and policies.
- Excellent customer-facing communication and organization skills.
- Good troubleshooting abilities and a methodical approach.
- Experience in below skills and any Cybersecurity Certifications are added advantages: Min experience of 3-5 years in related field working with a system Integrator or an OEM managing a similar customer-facing role; Database admin experience in SQL, MSSQL, DB2, Oracle etc.; Web Penetration Testing; Cloud experience is a plus (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- CISSP, IAPP, Security+, CEH, CC, SSCP etc.
- Any other Cybersecurity products implementation skills.
