We are seeking a skilled and innovative senior data scientist to join our team, specializing in Conversational AI.

Our mandate is to provide the foundational support and enablement necessary for the bank to deliver superior conversational and search experiences, driving engagement and value for our customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing language models by utilizing natural language processing and understanding skills. Your work will specifically involve advancing generative AI capabilities through the application of LLMs, ensuring intelligent and contextually relevant conversations within our conversational interfaces.

Are you someone who :

• Can identify and coordinate data-driven projects to enable enhanced business solutions and decision-making.
• Build data science integrated solutions that enable efficient communication between conversational systems and core banking systems.
• Can design and build algorithms that improve the accuracy of chatbots and search engines in understanding and responding to user queries.
• Have strong skills in data analysis, including preprocessing, feature engineering, and deriving meaningful insights from diverse datasets.
• Have an in-depth knowledge of statistical/machine learning algorithms and their applications, particularly in conversational AI.
• Can effectively communicate and work closely with cross-functional teams and articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and quickly adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies.
• Can conduct research to gather and analyze information to support project objectives.
• Are interested in generative AI, natural language processing, and conversational AI.
• Can practically generate results leveraging statistical techniques and coding.
• Develop and apply statistical models to collect, organize, and summarize data to enable insights/trends for business stakeholders. Perform ad hoc exploratory statistics and data mining tasks on diverse datasets.

You will be an ideal candidate if you :

• Hold a minimum qualification of Honours BSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Business Mathematics, or Informatics.
• Have at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Possess strong statistical skills.
• Have experience in NLP (Natural Language Processing).
• Have a good understanding of the LangChain module.
• Have practical experience in NLP applications.
• Possess strong problem-solving skills.
• Are motivated and proactive.
