Job description
Who We Are

DLG (Digital Luxury Group) is a Swiss‑headquartered company building an AI‑powered market intelligence platform used by leading luxury brands to understand their markets, competitors, and consumers. Our platform processes millions of data points across search trends, social signals, and market movements to give luxury executives clarity they can’t get anywhere else.

We're growing our tech team in South Africa as part of our international operation spanning Europe, China and the US. You'll work on real products using Python, BigQuery, cloud infrastructure, and AI/LLM integrations — with direct impact and genuine ownership of what you build.

What You’ll Do

As a Data Quality Specialist, you will ensure the operational excellence of data across LuxuryIQ. You will be responsible for implementing, executing, and maintaining data quality processes that guarantee accurate, complete, and reliable data for our AI‑driven insights.

  • Validate data pipelines across LuxuryIQ, including search trends, social signals, and market data feeds.
  • Monitor data freshness and timeliness to ensure insights reflect current market conditions.
  • Cleanse, standardize, and enrich data — including brand taxonomy and entity mapping.
  • Build and maintain automated data quality checks in BigQuery and Python.
  • Identify and resolve anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies across datasets.
  • Collaborate with AI Engineers to ensure data meets requirements for models and analytics.
  • Create dashboards to track data health and pipeline performance.
  • Document validation rules, procedures, and data dictionaries.
  • Support incident resolution and elevate critical data issues.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data quality, data operations, or a similar hands‑on data role.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and validation.
  • Working knowledge of Python for automation and scripting.
  • Experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Strong ownership, self‑drive and attention to detail.
Nice to have
  • Experience in luxury industry (watches, jewelry, or fashion).
  • Familiarity with e‑commerce and social media datasets.
  • Experience with data quality tools (Great Expectations, dbt tests, Soda, or similar).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Looker Studio or similar).
  • Understanding of AI/ML data requirements.
  • Experience validating data from external APIs.

This is a fully remote position based in South Africa.

What We Offer

Compensation: R40 000 – R45 000 per month, depending on experience.

  • Remote‑friendly role with international team collaboration across Switzerland, the UK and China.
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership — no layers of middle management.
  • Opportunity to grow with a platform that's scaling across the luxury industry.
  • Wellbeing and learning support.
