A valued client is seeking a Customer Liaison Officer to act as the essential link between community members, stakeholders and project teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on communication, collaboration and problem‑solving, and who is committed to fostering trust and understanding across diverse groups.

Key Duties
  • Engage with community members and stakeholders to support effective communication
  • Assist in managing community‑related issues, enquiries and feedback
  • Support outreach initiatives, events and local programmes
  • Liaise with governmental structures, contractors and project teams
  • Assist with conflict mediation and help resolve community challenges
  • Prepare reports, presentations and community engagement documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and activities
  • Support project teams with administrative tasks and planning
Requirements
  • Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies or related fields preferred (not a disqualification)
  • Experience in community outreach, project management or a similar environment advantageous
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including report writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage confidently with diverse groups
  • Problem‑solving ability, particularly in conflict mediation
  • Strong organisational and time‑management capabilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software
  • Fluency in English and at least one local language (Xhosa)
  • Familiarity with the local community’s demographics and socio‑economic environment
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Demonstrated integrity, accountability and professionalism
