Position Overview

ProProcess seeks a Corporate Accountant to manage financial accounting ensuring compliance with laws and policies. Key responsibilities include banking cash flow reporting forex transactions audit preparations VAT submissions and financial reporting.

Responsibilities
Banking Operations
  • Process banking batches and transfers weekly and monthly.
  • Reconcile bank statements weekly using ERP system for ZAR and CFC accounts.
  • Save and file bank statements monthly.
Forex Management
  • Process forex payments and receipts.
  • Complete forex deals and reconcile forex cash for travelers monthly.
  • Set forex rates monthly and run revaluation program.
Financial Reporting
  • Review credit card reconciliations monthly.
  • Balance fixed asset register to the Balance Sheet.
  • Manage loan accounts and perform project close‑out corrections.
Compliance and Reporting
  • Prepare VAT201 and submit to SARS.
  • Handle SARS audit queries.
  • Prepare management accounts balance sheet recons and profit and loss reviews.
General Accounting
  • Maintain amortization schedule and process interest journals.
  • Process forex gain and loss journals.
Audit and Documentation
  • Assist in audit preparations and interface with auditors.
  • Prepare reports for department and division review meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Grade 12 Matriculation (Essential)
  • BCom Accounting or Financial Management Degree (Essential)
  • 5‑6 years experience in a similar role and industry.
  • Good understanding of the engineering and manufacturing industry
  • Good business acumen (i.e. numeracy skills generation of profit and loss margin)
  • 5 years ERP systems experience with SYSPRO
  • Exceptional time‑management and problem‑solving skills
  • International accounting standards knowledge advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
