A law firm in Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Secretary to manage the full property transfer process. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with legal requirements, while supporting both attorneys and clients. Applicants should have a minimum of three years of experience, strong knowledge of the property transfer process, and excellent organizational skills. This is a permanent position with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Conveyancing Secretary specializing in property transfers.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the full process of property transfers from instruction to registration.
  • Draft and prepare transfer documents and correspondence.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, banks, and the Deeds Office.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Manage and update files, ensuring documentation accuracy.
  • Attend to queries and provide updates to clients.
  • Assist with FICA compliance and verification.

Our law firm client is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Secretary specialising in property transfers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full transfer process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with legal requirements, and providing support to attorneys and clients throughout the property transfer process.

Salary: market related (depends on experience and qualification).

Position type: Permanent, Hybrid.

Hours: 9am to 4pm (Monday to Friday).

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Conveyancing Secretary (Transfers)
  • Strong knowledge of the property transfer process and relevant legislation
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Proficient in conveyancing software and MS Office
