Job summary

A leading law firm in South Africa is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to support a busy Property Law practice. This role involves end-to-end administration of residential and commercial transactions, including bond registrations and property transfers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Deeds Office process and conveyancing software, alongside excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This position may involve working outside normal office hours.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a conveyancing role.
  • Experience with bond registrations, cancellations, and property transfers is essential.
  • Experience with 3E billing system or similar is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and lodge bond registration documents.
  • Prepare and lodge bond cancellation instructions.
  • Draft agreements of sale and transfer documents.
  • Maintain and update conveyancing records and systems.
  • Provide professional support to attorneys and team members.

Skills

Proficiency in conveyancing software (e.g., Lexis Convey, e4, Stordoc)
Strong understanding of the Deeds Office process
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Time management

Education

Matric / Grade 12
Diploma or qualification in conveyancing, legal practice, or paralegal studies
