POSITION OVERVIEW
  • Daily Sun is seeking an expert for a dual role focused primarily on Social Media Management, supported by Content Management duties. You must have a proven track record of managing and growing social media pages to drive significant engagement and website traffic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Social Media Growth: Develop and execute strategies to exponentially grow audience reach on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube and WhatsApp.
  • Content Strategy: Create and optimise compelling, viral-friendly content (headlines, multimedia) tailored for specific social platforms and the website.
  • Analytics & SEO: Use analytics to drive content decisions and ensure all web copy adheres to SEO best practices and South African media law.
  • Community Management: Actively moderate and engage with online communities to foster loyalty and retention.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years in digital media with a clear portfolio demonstrating successful social media growth and management.
  • Education: Relevant diploma or degree in journalism or a related field.
  • Skills: Expert Social Media Management, narrative storytelling, sub-editing, SEO optimisation, and proficiency in Google Analytics.
